Cat Orozco

We’re proud to call Cat our OG Faces in the Dark artist, and we’re so grateful she’s been part of our team since our doors opened in 2016. Getting her start in San Antonio, she has an impressive 2 decades of tattoo experience under her belt. Tattooing was only a weekend job when she joined FITD, and for the first couple of years, she worked at Chase Bank M-F, as well as at the shop, often coming in Fridays straight from her desk job.

Her love of art started at 15, and being able to confidently quit her day job and be able to support herself financially from tattooing felt like finally “making it”. A few years later, she became sponsored by hustle butter- even making it on a tattoo magazine cover. As they say, dreams don’t have an expiration date.

Her evolution as an artist began as a teenager, at first, growing to love airbrushing. Later, this would evolve into painting on canvas with acrylics, and eventually tattooing. One thing that’s remained constant in her work is a love of bold color and experimentation. With her years of experience and expertise, Cat takes great pride in creating lasting client relationships as well as tattoos she can be proud of.

Although Cat’s tattoo capabilities are wide ranging, her passion is floral color realism pieces, along with black and grey realism. She’s extremely well versed in large scale work and cover ups as well. Outside of work, Cat loves to paint & share experiences with her boys, friends and family.
